Paul Price is a landscape painter whose colourful paintings reflect a strong Canadian expressionist style. His interest in art began with early training in Illinois, USA where his grandparents worked as silversmiths and in Halifax as a student and friend of C. Anthony Law. He did further study in Vienna, Austria during high school and studied painting and printmaking at the Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Briitish Columbia.
In 1980, he received a medical degree from Dalhousie University and is currently a practicing opthalmologist in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
Since 1981 he has been exhibiting his work across Canada. Dr. Price says that his main source of inspiration is the Canadian landscape itself, the mountains, the sea, and the rugged land.
He is an member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour.
