Susan Paterson, a native of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, studied under Ted Pulford and David Silverburg at Mount Allison University earning her Bachlor of Fine Arts in 1980. She continued her studies at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London, England refining her painting and drawing skills. She also studied lithography and etching at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
Susan is a member of The Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour. Her awards include the Lincoln M. Alexander Governor of Ontario, Award of Excellence 1989, Elizabeth Greenshields Grant, 1981 and Director's Award, Nova Scotia Atlantic Winter Fair, 1972.
Her work is found in private and corporate collections. She has participated in solo and group shows in Nova Scotia, Alberta and Ontario.
